About Digiterre

Approach

Digiterre is both pragmatic and passionate in its approach to working with customers to design and deliver outstanding software. We combine modern best practice through Agile software development methods, exceptional people and a great sense of shared responsibility and commitment from everyone involved.

People

An integral part of our philosophy is the selection of individuals.  Essentially our success depends upon our ability to select talented and self-motivated individuals and to keep them engaged, participative, and motivated. We have developed a highly successful recruitment model for hiring staff; a great deal of emphasis is placed on testing candidates' problem solving and intellectual capabilities, not just their skills, knowledge and experience, though of course these are important too. As a result we have built a superb team of software engineers who take pride in their work and ownership for solving the client's problems.

Agile

We develop software through an iterative, Agile approach. This means that we break each project down into small chunks and deliver something tangible and releasable every few weeks. This gives our clients visibility of process throughout the project, allowing review and feedback and not relying on getting everything 100% right on paper before a line of code is written.

Mixed Team

The majority of our larger clients are not looking to simply outsource a technology problem, they are looking for a partner that will complement their own team and, where appropriate, other suppliers. We are very happy to work in these environments; examples include working with a joint team of Digiterre and client resources based in Switzerland and a large program of work incorporating the client based in Germany and several other suppliers, including both on-shore and off-shore resources managed by Digiterre.

Flexible Commercial Models

We recognize that the commercial approach to an engagement needs to be carefully designed to meet the needs of the client and the development approach to be taken. We are happy to work with fixed price, time and materials and shared risk models as appropriate.
