Digiterre, a software and data engineering consultancy, today announced the expansion of its business with the launch of a public sector practice and the appointment of James Fraser to lead the new service. The consultancy has been listed as an approved supplier on the Government’s Digital Outcomes and Specialists Framework (DOS) demonstrating its commitment to building a sustainable public sector practice.
Data engineering solutions developed by Digiterre are used by leading banks, asset managers and utilities, which operate high-demand, data-rich and highly complex organisations, to solve business, regulatory and compliance challenges. The consultancy will now extend and customise its solutions to address the similarly complex data problems encountered by government organisations.
“We are very proud of our software and data engineering track record with financial institutions and large corporates and are expanding our horizons to the public sector at a time of significant change and challenge in government and public service provision,” said Ian Murrin, CEO and Founder, Digiterre. “We are delighted that James Fraser has agreed to lead the new practice. His deep experience in public sector management, change and consultancy, coupled with Digiterre’s pre-eminent data engineering expertise, will be critical in the delivery of tailor made, innovative data solutions for public sector clients.”
“Government and public sector organisations are under intense pressure to enhance services, improve outcomes and step up efficiencies despite resource constraints and unique organisational complexity,” said James Fraser, Public Sector Director, Digiterre. “Having the right data insights in place has never been more critical to the delivery of public service objectives and we are excited to apply our considerable technical problem solving and data engineering skills to make a tangible difference in public sector processes and outcomes.”
James Fraser has nearly 30 years’ experience delivering major organisational change programmes in both the public and private sector. Public sector clients he has worked with include the Crown Prosecution Service, Home Office, Courts Service, Cumbria Police, Department of Constitutional Affairs and the National School of Government. Prior to taking on his new role, James was Chief of Staff at Digiterre where he managed strategy and growth initiatives.
